Where has the time gone? I cannot believe it has been 50 years.

Although I am not that far from Campbell, Orangevale is only 120 miles north, I do not get to the San Jose area that often. The last time I tried to search out my old home,I got hopelessly lost. At any rate, I have lived in the Sacramento area since 1968 with a 4 year hiatus (1972-1976)when I returned to Campbell.

I graduated from UCLA in 1966. In 1967 I received a secondary teaching credential in History and English. I went to work for a one school school district in Placerville. My career as a school teacher was short lived.

I finally landed in insurance-I was an adjuster for medical health claims and then workers' compensation. I do not recall anyone saying they wanted to be an insurance adjuster when they grew up but that is exactly what I did for the next 35 years. Although I retired in 2009, I continue to take on short term assignments.

I have been married to Ron Carey since 1976. We have no children but have a household full of animals- 5 cats and 2 dogs. Ron does volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and Bloodsource and I volunteer for Happy Tails which is a no kill cat sanctuary.

In our spare time, we take our RV to Arizona, Nevada and our favorite place-Brookings Oregon.
